Renewable Carbon-Negative Chemicals From Common Waste Streams
US households and businesses produce nearly 500 million tons of waste annually—more than 1.5 tons per American every year. For decades this waste has been simply disposed of in landfills—covering up the problems associated with that waste such as odors, soil contamination, diminished property values and the production of methane (CH₄)—a greenhouse gas at least 20X more potent than carbon dioxide—from the decomposing waste.
Valiant attempts across the globe to separate and recycle certain portions of household and commercial waste streams have been enacted in the past 30 years. But traditional recycling programs are often more of an illusion of sustainability than an actual comprehensive waste solution. There is currently no market for the majority of certain recyclable materials (especially plastics), meaning sometimes as much as 80% of recycled material ends up in landfills anyway. Furthermore, it is time-consuming and often confusing for consumers to properly sort and separate their recyclables, meaning consumer-dependent recycling compliance is unrealistic and ineffective.
Each year, the petrochemicals industry consumes billions of barrels of oil—a finite resource with a heavy environmental footprint—to produce the plastics and other petroleum-derived products that the world now relies on.
Circular SynTech’s patented, breakthrough waste-to-renewable-chemicals technology is a comprehensive answer to the world’s increasing waste challenges—the ultimate solution for enabling the circular economy. Our mission is to move the world beyond waste in a way that makes managing waste easier, more sustainable, and more valuable for everyone by converting that waste into valuable products that we all use and enjoy every day.
CST’s proprietary, catalyst-based OneStep™ technology can convert virtually any common waste into renewable biochemicals that can be used to manufacture hundreds of types of products—ranging from “smart” beverage bottles to sustainable fabrics—instead of using petrochemicals derived from fossil fuels. It's why we call our approach the ultimate in recycling.
Circular SynTech welcomes inquiries from potential customers, strategic alliance/joint venture partners and institutional capital sponsors as we expand our company and our fleet of projects.
